A 3D model showing work taking place in real time can significantly improve situational awareness and safety on the plant.  A well designed 3D digital twin will allow also allow simulation of work into the future based on planned permits.  This can help highlight any potential new risks as a result of any close proximity simultaneous operations (SIMOPS).
